Patients and GPs in the driving seat
Friday 25 June 09:30 - 10:15
Panel speakers:
The Coalition policy represents a huge transfer of power from NHS bodies to GPs and potentially to patients. This session looks at what this means from the perspective patients, social care and general practice. Will the new approach enhance or hinder integration with social care, will the patient voice really be heard, what will the long term implications be for general practice and primary care – will it drive a wedge between primary care and hospital specialists. What are the hopes and fears of key leaders in this area?
Session supported by NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement
